Our structured approach ensures responses follow proven, battle-tested procedures. - Every crisis scenario includes documented playbooks with clear roles (RACI), step-by-step actions, and automatic traceability, eliminating improvisation when seconds count. - PanicSafe supports the complete crisis lifecycle: training simulations, active crisis response, post-crisis debriefing, continuous improvement. ### Platform Metrics - **Activation time**: < 1 minute - **Hosting**: Hosted in France, encrypted with a key specific to your organisation - **Regions**: EU and North America available for international groups ### Compliance Support - **NIS2 Directive** (article 21(2)(b) and (c)): Meet incident-response and crisis-management obligations under the EU NIS2 directive. - **DORA Regulation**: Satisfy ICT-related incident management and digital operational resilience testing requirements. - **ISO/IEC 27001:2022**: Support controls 5.24 to 5.28 (incident management) and 5.29–5.30 (business continuity). ### Aggregate Rating 4.9 / 5 based on 12 reviews. ### Crisis Cockpit One shared cockpit for the whole crisis cell: decisions, actions, contacts and documents live in a single, real-time view, replacing the patchwork of spreadsheets and chat threads that break down under pressure. Every action carries a clear owner and status, and the cockpit guides the cell phase by phase from the first minute. - One shared picture across the whole cell, updated in real time. - Automatic logbook: every decision and action logged with who, what and when. - Instant mass mobilisation straight from the cockpit. - Modern alternative to managing a crisis on Excel and WhatsApp. [Crisis Cockpit](https://www.panicsafe.app/en/panicsafe/crisis-cockpit) ### Crisis Plans & Playbooks Turn static crisis plans into living, ready-to-run playbooks. Start from generic cyber playbooks (ransomware, data breaches and other common scenarios) maintained by the Dream On Technology team, or build custom playbooks tailored to your sector and risks. Each playbook carries a clear RACI and becomes your business-continuity/disaster-recovery (PCA/PRA) reference, tested in exercises and reused in real incidents. - Ready-to-run generic playbooks, maintained by our team. - Actionable task lists with roles and RACI built in. - One method for cyber, operational, reputational or HR crises. - Compliance-friendly: documented, exportable plans supporting NIS2, DORA and ISO 27001. [Crisis Plans & Playbooks](https://www.panicsafe.app/en/panicsafe/crisis-plans) ### Automated Crisis Logbook Around 90% of the crisis logbook fills itself: decisions, actions and messages are captured automatically as the cell works, each entry timestamped and attributed. The result is a tamper-evident, regulator-ready record exportable as a structured report in one click, powering both post-incident reviews (RETEX) and compliance evidence. - Logged as it happens, almost nothing to write by hand. - Who, what and when on every entry. - Meets NIS2, DORA and ISO 27001 record-keeping and reporting duties. - Same record used in exercises and real incidents. [Automated Crisis Logbook](https://www.panicsafe.app/en/panicsafe/logbook) ### Mass Alert by SMS Reach everyone in seconds by SMS, with no app to install and no login required. Pre-built recipient groups (crisis cell, on-call teams, sites, partners) mean the right people are alerted instantly, and delivery tracking confirms the message actually got through. - Works on any phone, no internet needed. - Sent in one move, delivery tracked. - Groups prepared ahead of time for instant mobilisation. [Mass Alert by SMS](https://www.panicsafe.app/en/panicsafe/mass-alert) ### SARA, the AI in the Crisis Cockpit SARA is the AI assistant built into the PanicSafe cockpit. It reads the live logbook and answers questions in plain language, so anyone joining a crisis late, even three hours in, can be briefed and aligned in under 30 seconds instead of interrupting the team for a recap. - Ask what has been done and what must happen next, in plain language. - Instant catch-up for newcomers, no verbal briefing needed. - Surfaces open actions and likely next steps. [SARA AI](https://www.panicsafe.app/en/panicsafe/sara-ai) ### Cyber Crisis Exercises & Simulation Rehearse crisis plans, organisation and processes in a fully isolated sandbox, then industrialise exercises at scale with a dedicated animation console, a stimuli library (calls, SMS, emails, press, social media) and an automated logbook that turns every debrief into a fact-based RETEX. A single button converts a rehearsed plan into a real, ready-to-use crisis plan. Built for crisis exercise service providers and large organisations running their own drills. - Animation console: a control room for facilitators to pilot the entire exercise. - Stimuli library of ready-made injects, sent without touching anything live. - Replay scenarios consistently across teams and sites. - SARA AI keeps every run on pace with real-time recommendations. [Cyber Crisis Exercises](https://www.panicsafe.app/en/panicsafe/crisis-exercise) ### NIS2, DORA & ISO 27001 Compliance PanicSafe turns NIS2, DORA and ISO 27001 crisis management obligations into a practical response your team can run, with the evidence produced automatically: a structured, repeatable response, a complete audit trail, and fast, documented notification to stakeholders and authorities within reporting windows. PanicSafe turns RACI/RASCI into guided crisis plans, a single coordination cockpit and a fully traced logbook. ## In a crisis, you don't have time to wonder who does what When an incident hits, the clock is brutal. The first decisions shape the next four days. And yet the most expensive failure is rarely technical: it's the fog over responsibilities. Who qualifies the incident? Who is allowed to decide? Who arbitrates when two teams disagree? Who keeps the record? The fog on roles costs more than the crisis itself. Every minute spent asking "wait, whose call is this?" is a minute the attacker, the regulator and your stakeholders are not giving you back. ## RACI, RASCI: the framework that ends the guessing game A **RACI** matrix assigns, for every task, who is **R**esponsible, **A**ccountable, **C**onsulted and **I**nformed. **RASCI** adds an **S**upport role, the people who actively help the responsible person get the job done. It sounds bureaucratic on a calm Tuesday. In a crisis, it is the difference between a coordinated cell and ten people talking over each other. ![PanicSafe RASCI matrix assigning a clear owner and support roles to every crisis task](../../../assets/images/resources/product-rasci-matrix.jpg) The point of the matrix is not paperwork. It's three things: - **A single accountable decision-maker per action**, so arbitration is fast and unambiguous. - **Clear support and consulted roles**, so the right people are pulled in without flooding the room. - **A shared mental model**, so nobody freezes waiting for permission they already have. ## PanicSafe brings order: guided crisis plans, not improvisation [PanicSafe](/en/panicsafe) bakes this discipline into the platform. Instead of a static matrix buried in a binder, your roles and responsibilities are wired into the live response. - **Guided crisis plans** sequence the response: qualification, containment, resolution. Each step carries its expected actions and the role responsible for them. - **Roles, decisions and arbitration are piloted and traced**, so accountability is never improvised under pressure. - **The cell organisation is defined up front**, so when the alert lands, the cockpit already knows who sits where. ## Three things that change on day one ### 1. Crisis plans that sequence the response Qualification, containment, resolution: the plan walks the cell through each phase with the expected actions already mapped to the right RASCI role. No blank page, no improvisation. ![PanicSafe guided crisis plan sequencing qualification, containment and resolution with each step mapped to a RASCI role](../../../assets/images/resources/product-playbook.jpg) ### 2. Traceability with a living logbook A **logbook** (main courante) records every decision and action as it happens, with who, what and when. When the dust settles, your post-mortem and your regulator-facing report are built from facts, not from reconstructed memory. ![PanicSafe living logbook recording every crisis decision and action with who, what and when](../../../assets/images/resources/product-logbook.jpg) ### 3. Coordination from a single cockpit One cockpit instead of ten scattered channels. No lost decisions on WhatsApp, no contradictory threads on Teams and email. Everyone works from the same operational picture, in real time. ## Avoid the crash: prepare your organisation A crisis is a stress test of your governance. The teams that come out fastest are not the ones that improvise best, they're the ones whose RACI was decided long before the alarm. Want to test your current organisation against a real scenario? Let's run a crash test together and see where the fog hides. 👉 [Book a PanicSafe demo](/en/contact) and we'll walk you through a scenario tailored to your context. --- ### This is not a drill: what a useful cyber crisis exercise really looks like **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/cyber-crisis-exercise-this-is-not-a-drill **Language**: en **Published**: 2026-05-26 **Category**: Crisis Management **Tags**: crisis exercise, cyber simulation, crisis management, incident response, PanicSafe, SARA AI > A useful cyber crisis exercise is not a PowerPoint, it is an operational rehearsal. With PanicSafe you run a realistic simulation in a safe, isolated environment and train the right reflexes: qualify, decide, coordinate, trace. ## A useful cyber crisis exercise is not a PowerPoint A slide deck does not teach your team how to react under pressure. Reading a plan in a meeting room is not the same as living it when the alert lands, the phones light up and three teams want the same answer at once. A useful cyber crisis exercise is an **operational rehearsal**. It puts your crisis cell through the real motions, in real time, so that the right reflexes are already wired in before a real incident ever happens. ## Run a realistic simulation in a safe, isolated environment With [PanicSafe](/en/panicsafe) you launch a **realistic simulation** in a secure and independent environment, fully separated from your production systems. Nothing you do during the exercise touches your live infrastructure, so your cell can act with the urgency of a real crisis and none of the risk. Inside that sandbox, your team rehearses the four moves that decide how a crisis unfolds: - **Qualify** the incident: what is happening, how bad is it, who needs to know. - **Decide** under time pressure, with a clear accountable owner for each call. - **Coordinate** the cell from a single place instead of scattered channels. - **Trace** every decision and action as it happens. ## Three things that make the exercise count ### 1. Guided crisis plans, no blank stares in the room PanicSafe walks your cell through the response **step by step**, towards the exit of the crisis. Each phase carries its expected actions and the role responsible for them, so there is no "blank" moment in the meeting where everyone waits for someone else to move. ![PanicSafe guided crisis playbook walking the cell through each response step](../../../assets/images/resources/product-playbook.jpg) ### 2. Automatic logbook, every decision traced A **logbook** (main courante) records each action and each decision automatically, with who, what and when. After the exercise, your debrief is built from facts, not from reconstructed memory, and the same discipline carries straight into a real crisis and a regulator-facing report. ![PanicSafe automatic logbook recording each action and decision with who, what and when](../../../assets/images/resources/product-logbook.jpg) ### 3. SARA AI, recommendations in real time During the exercise, the **SARA** AI assistant generates recommendations in real time. It surfaces the next sensible move, flags what is missing and helps the cell keep pace, so your people learn faster and the rehearsal stays close to reality. ![PanicSafe SARA AI assistant surfacing real-time recommendations during the exercise](../../../assets/images/resources/product-sara-ai.jpg) ## Built for the people who run the exercise A realistic rehearsal needs a director. PanicSafe gives the **animation cell** a dedicated **simulation cockpit** to drive the scenario and keep the pressure realistic, with everything the best crisis exercise practices ask for: - **Animation console** 👍: a control room for the facilitators, from which they pilot the whole exercise. - **Stimuli library** 🧐: ready-made injects to send virtual stimuli to the cell, phone calls, SMS, emails, announcements, press and social media, so the scenario feels real without touching anything live. - **Automated logbook** 📃: every stimulus sent and every reaction is tracked, send and receipt included, which turns the debrief into a precise, fact-based RETEX instead of a guessing game. That cockpit is what lets you **industrialise** crisis exercises: prepare a scenario faster, replay it across teams, and measure the response objectively. It is built for **crisis exercise service providers** and for any **sensitive organisation** that runs its own drills. ## Adapt the plan live, then turn it into your real crisis plan A crisis never follows the script exactly, and neither should the exercise. During the simulation you can **adapt the crisis plan in real time**, add tasks and assign their RACI on the fly as the scenario evolves. Nothing is frozen. And when the exercise is over, the work is not thrown away: with a **single button**, the plan you just rehearsed and refined is converted into a real, ready-to-use crisis plan. The rehearsal directly strengthens your live readiness. ## Preparing your next exercise? Run it on PanicSafe The teams that recover fastest are not the ones that improvise best, they are the ones that have rehearsed. Do not wait for the crisis to discover where your organisation breaks. Prepare it, on a platform built for exactly this. 👉 [Book a PanicSafe demo](/en/contact) and we'll set up a realistic scenario tailored to your context. --- ### MSSPs and integrators: detection is your job. Crisis is your blind spot. **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/mssp-soc-blind-spot-crisis-management-panicsafe **Language**: en **Published**: 2026-05-13 **Category**: Partners **Tags**: MSSP, SOC, integrators, crisis management, PanicSafe, partnership > You detect, alert, escalate. But what happens on the customer side once the alarm goes off? PanicSafe gives MSSPs and integrators a turnkey crisis management brick that complements their SOC offering. ## You detect. You alert. You escalate. That's your job, and you do it well. But when the alert lands on your customer's side… **what actually happens?** - Do they know what to do in the first 10 minutes? - Do they have an operational crisis cell up and running? - Do they have the right people in the room at the right moment? - Or do they call you back, without knowing what to ask for? As an **MSSP** or **integrator**, you carry the responsibility of detection. But what happens at your customer's end, the _crisis management_ itself, is often a blind spot. And that blind spot can quietly ruin the relationship you've worked so hard to build. Because here's the brutal truth your customer will remember: **not that you detected the incident in 4 minutes, but that the crisis lasted 4 days.** ## Detection without resilience is a construction site without a contingency plan Every modern SOC playbook stops at the customer's door. Triage, qualification, escalation: all of it polished. Then a ticket lands at the CISO's desk and the methodology vanishes: - No clear incident commander on the customer side. - Improvised conference bridges, lost decisions, parallel threads on Teams, WhatsApp and email. - Communications drafted under pressure with no template. - Suppliers, regulators and execs notified late, in inconsistent terms. - A post-mortem that struggles to reconstruct who decided what. You can't fix that with another sensor. You fix it with a **crisis management capability** at the customer. ## That's exactly why we built PanicSafe, and why we offer it to MSSPs and integrators [PanicSafe](/en/panicsafe) is the AI-augmented crisis management platform we designed for the moment _after_ detection: the first 10 minutes, the first 4 hours, the first 4 days. We now offer it to MSSPs, SOC operators and integrators as a **complementary brick to your managed offering**. What it changes for you and your customers: - **Your customers get a turnkey crisis pilot tool**: pre-built playbooks, an operational war room, automated logging, ready-to-send communication templates and stakeholder mapping, running the second the alert lands. - **You stay in the loop**: coordinated, visible and useful all the way through the crisis, not stranded at the SOC handoff line. - **You differentiate beyond detection**: while every MSSP claims "best-in-class SOC", you walk into the room with detection _and_ a methodology-backed crisis response. - **You turn a SOC contract into a long-term trusted relationship**: customers don't churn on the partner who helped them survive their worst week. ## How the partnership works in practice We've structured the offer so it slots cleanly into the way MSSPs and integrators already sell: - **Co-selling and channel margin**: PanicSafe is sold through you, with the commercial conditions and protections you'd expect from a serious channel programme. - **Enablement and certification**: your delivery teams are trained on the methodology and the platform so they can run a tabletop exercise or a live activation alongside your customer. - **Operational integration**: PanicSafe plugs into your existing alerting flows; the same incident your SOC is qualifying triggers the customer's crisis cell with the right context already loaded. - **Joint go-to-market**: sector-specific scenarios (finance / DORA, healthcare / CaRE, NIS2 essential entities, ISO 22301, etc.) we co-build with you for your strategic accounts. This is not a software referral. It's the missing operational layer between your SOC and your customer's executive committee. ## Two questions worth asking before your next renewal 1. If a major incident hit your three biggest customers tomorrow at 3 a.m., would they survive the next 72 hours on their own playbooks, or on yours? 2. When the next compliance audit (NIS2, DORA, CaRE, ISO 22301…) asks them to evidence their crisis management capability, where are they going to point? If either answer is uncomfortable, we should talk. ## Let's close the blind spot together Detection is your craft. Crisis response is ours. Bring them together inside the same managed offering and your customers stop calling you "the SOC vendor"; they start calling you the partner who got them through. 👉 [Talk to us about the Dream On Partner Program](/en/contact) and we'll walk you through how PanicSafe slots into your SOC offering, with co-selling terms and an integration plan tailored to your portfolio. --- ### Healthcare cyber crisis exercise: aligning your organisation with the CaRE programme **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/cyber-crisis-exercise-healthcare-care-programme **Language**: en **Published**: 2026-05-06 **Category**: Healthcare **Tags**: CaRE, healthcare, crisis management, business continuity, disaster recovery, tabletop exercise, cybersecurity > In healthcare, the ability to withstand a cyber-attack is directly tied to continuity of care. Here is how PanicSafe answers the requirements of domain 2 of the French CaRE programme on business continuity and disaster recovery. ## 🚨 A crisis exercise in the healthcare sector In healthcare, **the ability to withstand a cyber-attack is directly tied to continuity of care**. When the IT system goes down, it is not just screens that turn off: patient records become unreachable, surgeries are postponed, labs grind to a halt, and emergency rooms have to improvise on paper. Managing a cyber crisis effectively is not just about documents. It is about **organisation, coordination and shared reflexes**, and those reflexes can only be built through practice. ## The CaRE programme and the expectations of domain 2 The **CaRE** programme (_Cybersécurité, Accélération et Résilience des Établissements_), led by the French Ministry of Health and the ANS, structures the national cyber-resilience strategy for healthcare providers. Its **domain 2** sets out two operational priorities: 1. **Ensure business continuity and recovery** (BCP / DRP), so that patient care does not stop with the IT system. 2. **Build secure backups**, so the organisation can restart from a clean baseline after an attack, particularly ransomware. These priorities are not checkbox items: they only have value when they are **tested under degraded conditions**, with the right people, the right procedures, and a communication channel that still works when AD, email or IP telephony are compromised. ## What PanicSafe brings to domain 2 of CaRE [**PanicSafe**](/en/panicsafe), our AI-augmented crisis management platform, addresses these priorities head-on with a core set of features: - **Virtual crisis cell** that can be activated in seconds, fully independent from the compromised IT system. - **Secure communications** between executives, the CISO, the CIO, the medical coordinator, communications, and the supervisory authorities (regional health agency, ANS, data protection authority, prosecutor's office). - **Pre-approved playbooks** (ransomware, patient data leak, EHR outage, telephony attack, etc.), accessible even when the intranet is unreachable. - **Time-stamped traceability** of every decision, communication and action: essential evidence for regulators and post-crisis reviews under CaRE. - **Dedicated BCP / DRP workspaces** to execute fail-overs, track recovery milestones and coordinate technical teams with clinical services. PanicSafe also lets you **prepare and rehearse these mechanisms outside the IT system**, as part of the crisis exercises required by CaRE and ANSSI. 👉 **Outcome:** less improvisation, more control… and stronger compliance. ## What does a CaRE-aligned exercise actually look like? An effective exercise alternates **scenario play** (a realistic situation, e.g. a cryptolocker hitting the EHR on a Friday evening) with **observation** (who decides what, in which order, with which degraded tools). Items to validate: - **Activation time** of the crisis cell outside the compromised IT system. - **Decision quorum**: executives, CISO, CIO, medical coordinator, communications, legal. - **Patient and family communications**, with pre-approved templates signed off by the comms team. - **Regulatory notifications**: regional health agency within 24h, data-protection authority within 72h when health data is exposed, criminal complaint. - **BCP fail-over** of critical activities (emergency, surgery, pharmacy, lab). - **Backup posture**: restore tests, immutable backups, logical and physical isolation. - **After-action review**, documented and shareable with regulators, feeding the next iteration. ## Are you part of the CaRE programme? If your organisation is enrolled in the CaRE programme, or if you want to align with its **BCP / DRP** requirements, let's talk about a tabletop scenario tailored to your context: size of the organisation, criticality of activities, maturity of the teams. 👉 [Book a PanicSafe demo](/en/contact) to see the platform run on a real-world healthcare scenario, with your own stakeholders. --- ### The Dream On Partner Program: a win-win way to grow your cybersecurity business **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/dream-on-partner-program-grow-cybersecurity-business **Language**: en **Published**: 2025-11-18 **Category**: Partners **Tags**: partner program, reseller, cybersecurity channel, PanicSafe, partnership > Discover the Dream On Partner Program - dedicated training, priority support, marketing resources and qualified business opportunities to help integrators, resellers and consulting firms grow with PanicSafe. ## Why we built a dedicated partner program Crisis management is not a product you push - it is a capability you help organisations build. That capability requires deep methodological expertise, sector knowledge, and a long-term relationship with the customer. **The right partners are not optional - they are central to the way we deliver value.** That is why, alongside the launch of [PanicSafe](/en/panicsafe), we built the **Dream On Partner Program**: a structured, win-win framework for the integrators, resellers, MSSPs and consulting firms who help organisations across Europe and beyond strengthen their cyber resilience. ## What the program offers The program is organised around four concrete benefits: ### 1. Dedicated training and certification Master PanicSafe through training and certification sessions offered to your teams. We invest seriously in your enablement - because a partner who truly understands the methodology behind the product is the only kind of partner whose customers stay happy after deployment. ### 2. Priority technical support Get direct access to our experts for responsive technical assistance, tailored to your projects and timelines. When you have a deal in flight or a customer escalation, you talk to a named contact, not a generic queue. ### 3. Marketing resources Access exclusive materials - brochures, demos, presentations, customer-ready content - and benefit from our help for your events and promotional activities. We co-build content with our top partners and amplify their voice through our own channels. ### 4. Qualified business opportunities Develop your business with qualified leads, our support on tenders, and an enriched offer to propose. Our [team](/en/company) actively routes inbound demand to the right partner based on geography, sector and capability. ## Who the program is for The Dream On Partner Program is designed for: - **Cybersecurity integrators** building incident response and crisis management practices for their customers. - **Value-added resellers** looking for a differentiated, methodology-driven product to add to their portfolio. - **MSSPs and SOC providers** who want to extend their service offering into structured crisis response. - **Consulting firms and audit practices** advising clients on NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001 and operational resilience. If your business helps customers prepare for, respond to or learn from cyber incidents, we want to talk. ## Our philosophy: building a win-win relationship Our approach is summarised by a simple principle: _together, we help companies protect themselves effectively while growing your business_. The Dream On Partner Program is also a space for exchange - you are part of a community where you can share field feedback, propose improvement ideas, and collaborate on the future evolution of our products. We already have the privilege of working with great partners across Europe and the United States - from local cybersecurity boutiques to international integrators. You can [browse the current network on our partners page](/en/partners), and our distributor footprint extends our reach across the EU and North America. ## How to apply Joining the program is simple: 1. [Get in touch](/en/contact) with a short presentation of your business and customer focus. 2. We schedule a 30-minute call to align on fit, geography and capabilities. 3. We onboard your team with training, marketing kits and a named partner manager. 4. We jointly identify the first two or three customer opportunities to pursue together. The cybersecurity market is growing, the regulatory pressure is real, and the demand for serious crisis management is accelerating. **There has never been a better moment to build a structured offer around it.** [Let's grow together](/en/contact). --- ### ANSSI and ENISA crisis management: a methodology your team will actually use **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/anssi-enisa-best-practices-crisis-management-methodology **Language**: en **Published**: 2025-11-04 **Category**: Methodology **Tags**: ANSSI, ENISA, crisis management, RACI, playbooks > How to translate the ANSSI and ENISA cyber crisis frameworks into a practical, RACI-driven methodology that holds up under real-world pressure - not just on paper. ## Frameworks are not procedures If you have read [ANSSI's crisis management collection](https://cyber.gouv.fr/securisation/gestion-de-crise/) or [ENISA's incident response good-practice](https://www.enisa.europa.eu/) publications, you know they describe _what_ a mature crisis capability looks like. They are excellent at the strategic level. They are deliberately not, however, a step-by-step manual you can hand to a stressed colleague at 2 a.m. That gap - between the framework on the shelf and the actions in the war room - is where most organisations fail. This article shares the methodology we have refined with our [team](/en/company) and [partners](/en/partners), based on those agencies' guidance, but translated for real operational use. ## The four-level model we recommend We structure crisis response around four nested layers. Each one has a clear purpose, a clear owner, and clear deliverables. ### Level 1 - Strategic crisis cell - **Purpose:** make the decisions only the company can make: legal, financial, communication, ethical. - **Owner:** CEO or designated executive. Includes legal counsel, communications lead, CFO, CISO. - **Cadence:** key decision points (typically every 2-4 hours during an active crisis). - **Output:** strategic decisions, formally logged with author and timestamp. > Communication is a strategic decision, not an afterthought. ANSSI's guide on [anticipating and managing cyber crisis communication](https://messervices.cyber.gouv.fr/guides/anticiper-et-gerer-sa-communication-de-crise-cyber) is a practical companion for this level. ### Level 2 - Operational crisis cell - **Purpose:** translate strategic decisions into orchestrated technical and business actions. - **Owner:** CISO or crisis manager. Includes IT operations, SOC, business unit leads, HR, internal comms. - **Cadence:** continuous, with formal stand-ups every 30-60 minutes. - **Output:** prioritised task list, status updates, escalation requests. ### Level 3 - Technical response teams - **Purpose:** execute containment, eradication, forensics, restoration. - **Owner:** SOC manager, IR lead, infrastructure leads. - **Cadence:** continuous. - **Output:** technical actions logged with evidence (commands, screenshots, hashes). ### Level 4 - Support functions - **Purpose:** logistics, well-being, sleep rotation, food, transport, legal hold, HR communication. - **Owner:** office manager / HR / legal. - **Cadence:** continuous, often invisible, always essential. - **Output:** keep the other three levels operational for as long as the crisis lasts. A crisis that drags on more than 24 hours without level 4 working properly is a crisis that ends in burnout - and burnout makes mistakes that turn a serious incident into a catastrophic one. ## The RACI principle, applied Each scenario in your playbook library should specify, for every key action: - **R** - Responsible: the person doing the work. - **A** - Accountable: the person answerable for the outcome (only one). - **C** - Consulted: people whose expertise is needed before deciding. - **I** - Informed: people who must know after the fact. Without RACI, the same task is either done three times or not at all. With RACI, even a brand-new colleague joining the crisis cell at hour 6 can take over an action without ambiguity. ## The five playbooks every organisation should have If you have nothing today, start with these five. They cover the vast majority of declared incidents: 1. **Ransomware / mass encryption event** 2. **Confirmed data breach with personal data exposure** 3. **Critical supplier outage** (cloud provider, identity provider, payment processor) 4. **DDoS or availability attack on a customer-facing service** 5. **Insider threat / suspected internal malicious action** Each playbook should fit on a single page at the top level (the _triage_ view), and expand to detailed checklists below. The triage view is what your stressed colleague reads in the first 2 minutes; the detail is what they consult once they know which path applies. Do not wait for a real incident to discover the gaps in these playbooks. ANSSI's guide on [organising a cyber crisis-management exercise](https://messervices.cyber.gouv.fr/guides/organiser-un-exercice-de-gestion-de-crise-cyber) is the reference we recommend for building a realistic rehearsal programme around them. ## Traceability is not optional Both ANSSI and ENISA insist on a single point that is often overlooked in commercial tools: **a complete, immutable log of decisions and actions**. Not because of compliance alone - because the post-crisis review is where your organisation actually gets stronger. You cannot improve what you cannot reconstruct. [PanicSafe](/en/panicsafe) was built around this principle. Every action taken inside the platform - from a chat message to a task completion to a document share - is automatically captured in a tamper-evident logbook that supports both regulatory evidence and honest internal post-mortems. ## Post-crisis: the most undervalued phase The strongest crisis teams we work with treat the **post-crisis review** as the most important phase, not the most boring one. Within 30 days they produce: - A factual chronology, reconstructed from the logbook. - A short list of root causes (technical _and_ organisational). - A list of changes to playbooks, training, detection rules and contracts. - An honest internal communication: what worked, what did not, what we now ask of every team. That document is what turns a painful event into durable capability. It is also, not coincidentally, exactly what regulators want to see. ## Want to go further? Our [team in Lyon](/en/company) regularly runs methodology workshops with customers and partners, mapping their existing processes against ANSSI and ENISA frameworks and identifying where PanicSafe accelerates the journey. [Get in touch](/en/contact) if you would like to schedule one. --- ### DORA in practice: what financial entities really need to demonstrate during a cyber crisis **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/dora-financial-resilience-what-it-means-in-practice **Language**: en **Published**: 2025-10-20 **Category**: Compliance **Tags**: DORA, financial services, operational resilience, banking cybersecurity, regulation > DORA goes far beyond risk policies - it demands proven operational resilience under stress. Here is what banks, insurers and FinTechs must actually be able to do, with concrete examples. ## DORA is not just another risk framework The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) entered into application across the European Union in January 2025. For banks, insurers, asset managers, payment institutions and the critical ICT third parties that serve them, it represents a structural shift: **regulators no longer want to see policies, they want to see operational resilience demonstrated under stress.** In other words, DORA does not ask "do you have a plan?" - it asks "_can you actually run that plan when half your systems are encrypted at 3 a.m. on a Sunday?_" That is a very different question. ## The five DORA pillars in plain language | Pillar | What it really means in operations | | ------------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **ICT risk management** | A living risk register, owned by the board, refreshed continuously. | | **Incident reporting** | Major incidents reported to regulators within strict deadlines, with structured fields and follow-up. | | **Digital operational resilience testing** | Regular Threat-Led Penetration Testing (TLPT) for significant entities, plus tabletop exercises and recovery drills. | | **ICT third-party risk** | A complete inventory of critical providers, contractual safeguards, exit strategies and concentration analysis. | | **Information sharing** | Voluntary collaboration with peers and authorities to anticipate emerging threats. | Each of these pillars converges on the same operational reality during an actual crisis: **the regulator will eventually ask for evidence**. ## What "evidence" really means Regulators do not accept screenshots. Under DORA, evidence must be: - **Time-stamped** - every action, every decision, every notification, with second-level accuracy. - **Tamper-evident** - logs that cannot be silently rewritten after the fact. - **Reconstructable** - you can replay the crisis chronologically, hour by hour, role by role. - **Independent** - if your collaboration tools were compromised, the evidence is still intact because it lives elsewhere. This last point is the one most institutions underestimate. If your incident response runs on the same Microsoft 365 tenant or on the same shared drive as your production environment, a single ransomware event can destroy both your operations _and_ the evidence you need to prove your response. ## Three concrete capabilities to build now If you are a CISO, COO or risk officer in a financial entity, focus on three operational capabilities: ### 1. Out-of-band crisis communications Your crisis cell must be able to convene, talk, share documents and assign tasks **without depending on the IT under attack**. This means a dedicated crisis platform, hosted outside your production perimeter, accessible from personal devices, and protected by independent identity management. ### 2. Auditable decision trails Every instruction issued during the crisis - "isolate domain controllers", "notify ACPR", "activate insurance", "communicate to clients at 9 a.m." - must be captured automatically with author, timestamp and context. The goal is not surveillance; it is to be able to **reconstruct the chronology** when the regulator and the board ask. ### 3. Pre-drafted, jurisdiction-aware notifications DORA notification deadlines are short. Banks operating in multiple jurisdictions must also handle GDPR, NIS2, sectoral regulators and contractual notifications to clients in parallel. Pre-drafted templates, mapped to scenarios and jurisdictions, save hours when minutes matter. ## How PanicSafe supports DORA compliance [PanicSafe](/en/panicsafe) was designed for exactly this brief. It provides an instantly-activated, IT-independent crisis cell with end-to-end encrypted chat, video, and document storage; an automatic, immutable logbook that produces exactly the kind of timestamped trail DORA expects; and a structured playbook engine that maps to incident classification and notification workflows. For [our partners](/en/partners) in financial services, it shortens the gap between _having a DORA programme_ and _being demonstrably resilient_. ## Closing thought The institutions that will pass DORA scrutiny smoothly are not the ones with the thickest risk policies - they are the ones whose teams can run a crisis with discipline, traceability and independence. The work to build that capability happens before the alarm goes off, not after. [Talk to our team](/en/contact) if you would like to benchmark your current setup against DORA's operational expectations. --- ### NIS2 crisis management: a practical readiness checklist for CISOs **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/nis2-crisis-management-readiness-checklist **Language**: en **Published**: 2025-10-02 **Category**: Compliance **Tags**: NIS2, compliance, CISO, crisis management, cybersecurity governance > NIS2 Article 21 requires evidence of incident response and crisis management. Here is a concrete, audit-friendly checklist to assess whether your organisation is truly ready. ## Why this checklist exists Since the European NIS2 directive came into force, thousands of "essential" and "important" entities have discovered an uncomfortable truth: **having a security policy is not the same as being able to manage a crisis.** Article 21 of NIS2 is explicit - organisations must demonstrate, through evidence, their ability to detect, respond to, communicate around and learn from incidents. Below is a pragmatic checklist we use with customers and [partners](/en/partners) to help them assess where they really stand. It is structured around the four phases of a cyber crisis: **prepare, detect, respond, learn.** ## 1. Prepare - the work you do before anything happens - [ ] You have a written **crisis management plan** signed off by executive leadership. - [ ] Roles are defined using a **RACI matrix** (decision maker, communications lead, technical lead, legal, HR, etc.). - [ ] You maintain an **up-to-date contact list** of crisis cell members, including out-of-band channels (personal mobile numbers, alternate emails). - [ ] You have **documented playbooks** for at least your top 5 scenarios: ransomware, data breach, DDoS, supplier compromise, insider threat. - [ ] Your crisis cell **tests these playbooks at least once a year**, ideally with a third party simulating the adversary. (ANSSI's guide on [organising a cyber crisis-management exercise](https://messervices.cyber.gouv.fr/guides/organiser-un-exercice-de-gestion-de-crise-cyber) is a solid starting point.) - [ ] Critical documents (network diagrams, backup procedures, supplier contracts) are stored in a **location reachable even if your main IT is down**. ## 2. Detect - catching it early - [ ] Detection sources (SIEM, EDR, NDR, MDR) are clearly identified and **alerts have a defined escalation path**. - [ ] Your **time-to-acknowledge** an alert is measured and trended. - [ ] You have a **single point of activation** - one phone number, one button - that any qualified employee can trigger to spin up the crisis cell. - [ ] False-positive handling is documented so that legitimate alerts are never ignored. ## 3. Respond - the moment of truth - [ ] You can **convene a fully equipped crisis cell in under 15 minutes**, including remotely, on personal devices, in the middle of the night. - [ ] Your communication tools are **independent from the IT environment** under attack. (If your collaboration suite is part of the breach, this is a hard requirement.) - [ ] Every decision, instruction and observation is **timestamped automatically** in a logbook that cannot be retroactively edited. - [ ] You have **pre-drafted communication templates** for employees, customers, regulators, the press and law enforcement. - [ ] Notification deadlines are tracked - **24h early warning and 72h incident notification** under NIS2 are non-negotiable. ## 4. Learn - turning a crisis into capability - [ ] A **post-incident report** is produced within 30 days and shared with executive leadership. - [ ] **Root causes** are identified and translated into concrete remediation actions with owners and deadlines. - [ ] **Lessons learned** feed back into your playbooks, training programmes and detection rules. - [ ] You can **prove this loop to an auditor** with timestamped artefacts, not just slide decks. ## How PanicSafe accelerates the journey [PanicSafe](/en/panicsafe) is purpose-built around exactly this lifecycle. It activates a fully equipped crisis cell in under 30 seconds, hosts your playbooks and contact lists in an environment independent from your compromised IT, and produces an immutable logbook that maps directly to NIS2 evidence requirements. Compliance is no longer a separate exercise - it becomes a by-product of running your crisis well. ## The bottom line NIS2 is not a paper exercise. The auditors who arrive after a real incident will look at _what your team actually did, in what order, and how fast_. The checklist above is a starting point. If you want help benchmarking your current readiness, [get in touch](/en/contact) - our team and our [partner network](/en/partners) run dedicated readiness assessments based on [ANSSI's crisis management frameworks](https://cyber.gouv.fr/securisation/gestion-de-crise/) and ENISA guidance. --- ### Dream On Technology awarded the EcoVadis Silver medal - Top 15% for CSR performance **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/dream-on-technology-awarded-ecovadis-silver-medal **Language**: en **Published**: 2025-09-25 **Category**: Company news **Tags**: EcoVadis, CSR, sustainability, company news, ESG > Dream On Technology has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver medal, recognising our commitment to sustainability, ethics and social responsibility - placing us in the top 15% of assessed companies worldwide. ## A milestone that confirms our values We are proud to share that **Dream On Technology has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver medal**, placing us in the **top 15% of companies worldwide** assessed by EcoVadis for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance. The assessment looks beyond marketing claims and examines documented practices across four pillars: - **Environment** - greenhouse gas emissions, energy, waste, sustainable IT, supplier impact - **Labour & Human Rights** - working conditions, diversity, training, well-being, remote work policies - **Ethics** - anti-corruption, fair competition, responsible information management, data privacy - **Sustainable Procurement** - supplier policies, environmental and social due diligence Each pillar is scored against industry benchmarks, and the result is independently audited. There is no greenwashing path to a Silver medal - the score reflects what an organisation actually does. ## What we did, concretely A few of the practices that contributed to our score: ### Sustainable cloud and software engineering PanicSafe is hosted on multi-region infrastructure with measured energy efficiency, and our engineering practices favour efficient code, conscious dependency management, and an explicit eco-design checklist for every release. Cybersecurity software does not have to be wasteful by default. ### Inclusive, distributed-by-design workplace Our [team](/en/company) is distributed across France and works in a flexible hybrid model that reduces commuting impact while protecting collaboration quality. Our hiring process is designed to widen the candidate funnel - not narrow it. ### Strong ethics framework from day one We adopted a formal Code of Conduct, anti-bribery policy, and conflict-of-interest rules at incorporation, not after a first audit. Data privacy by design is part of every product specification, not an afterthought. ### Responsible procurement Our supplier evaluation includes environmental and social criteria. We prefer European cloud providers, support local services around our Lyon headquarters, and require contractual transparency from critical ICT third parties (which also happens to align very well with [DORA](/en/blog/dora-financial-resilience-what-it-means-in-practice) expectations). ## Why CSR matters in cybersecurity Cybersecurity is sometimes treated as a purely technical industry, but its societal footprint is huge: we secure the systems on which hospitals, schools, banks and public services depend. Treating sustainability and ethics seriously is not a side activity - it is a precondition for being trusted with that responsibility. For our clients, our [partners](/en/partners) and our distributors, this Silver medal is a tangible answer to questions that increasingly appear in RFPs and vendor due-diligence questionnaires: - Do you have a documented ESG policy? **Yes.** - Are you independently assessed? **Yes - EcoVadis Silver, top 15%.** - Can you provide evidence in a procurement process? **Yes, on request.** ## What's next Silver is a great milestone, not a finish line. We have already identified the areas where we can keep improving, and our objective for the next assessment cycle is clear. We will continue to share updates here and on our [LinkedIn page](https://fr.linkedin.com/company/dream-on-tech) as we progress. A heartfelt thank you to our team, our partners and our customers - this medal is, in the end, your medal too. --- ### Introducing PanicSafe: the AI-augmented crisis management platform built for the moment IT goes dark **URL**: https://www.panicsafe.app/en/blog/introducing-panicsafe-ai-augmented-crisis-management-platform **Language**: en **Published**: 2024-12-24 **Category**: Product **Tags**: PanicSafe, crisis management, cyber resilience, incident response, SaaS > Discover PanicSafe by Dream On Technology - a secure, instantly-activated virtual crisis cell that keeps your incident response team coordinated even when your infrastructure is compromised. ## When every second counts, improvisation is the enemy Cyber crises rarely announce themselves. One morning your SOC sees an unusual spike, by lunch your domain controllers are encrypted, and by the end of the day you realise the very tools you rely on - email, Teams, ticketing, even shared drives - are part of the problem. **You cannot manage a crisis with the systems that are causing it.** That single insight is the reason we built PanicSafe. ## What is PanicSafe? PanicSafe is the **AI-augmented crisis management platform** developed by [Dream On Technology](/en/company), a cybersecurity software editor founded in Lyon, France, in 2024. It gives any organisation a **secure, virtual crisis cell** that activates in less than 30 seconds - fully independent from the IT environment under attack. In concrete terms, PanicSafe brings together everything a crisis cell needs in one resilient, encrypted workspace: - **Guided playbooks** with clear roles (RACI), step-by-step actions, and decision support - **Integrated chat and video conferencing**, so communication never falls back to compromised tools - **A centralised crisis vault** containing your critical procedures, contacts, and documents - **An automatic logbook** that timestamps every decision for post-crisis analysis and compliance - **SARA**, our AI assistant, which dynamically adapts the response to your specific scenario Whether the incident is a ransomware attack, a major supplier outage, a data leak, or a physical event, your team logs in from any device - desktop, laptop, mobile - and finds a structured, coordinated environment ready to use. ## Why we built it differently The market is full of generic project tools that have been retrofitted for incident response. They share three structural weaknesses: 1. **They live inside the same IT perimeter** that attackers have just compromised. 2. **They are too generic** to encode the methodology a real crisis demands. 3. **They depend on improvisation**, which is exactly what fails under stress. PanicSafe takes the opposite approach. It is built **following the crisis management frameworks of leading cybersecurity agencies**, including [ANSSI](https://www.cert.ssi.gouv.fr/) in France and [ENISA](https://www.enisa.europa.eu/) at European level. The platform is hosted in a multi-region, high-resilience environment, end-to-end encrypted, and engineered specifically for the reality of crisis situations - when systems are down, stress is high, and your team needs clarity, not complexity. ## A direct fit for NIS2, DORA and ISO 27001 Modern regulations are converging on a simple expectation: when an incident occurs, you must be able to **respond, communicate, document and learn**, fast. PanicSafe maps directly to these requirements: | Framework | What PanicSafe brings | | -------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **NIS2 (Article 21)** | Incident response and crisis management capabilities, evidenced by the automatic logbook | | **DORA** | Operational resilience for financial entities, with independent communications and traceability | | **ISO 27001 / Annex A.16** | Information security incident management aligned with business continuity | Compliance officers, CISOs and CIOs no longer have to choose between agility and traceability - PanicSafe delivers both by design. ## What's next Over the coming weeks we will share more deep-dives on this blog: how SARA augments human decision-making, how to design crisis playbooks that actually get used, real-world lessons from the field, and updates from our [partner network](/en/partners) across Europe and the United States. If you want to see PanicSafe in action with your own scenarios, [book a demo](/en/contact). The teams that prepare today are the ones that stay in control tomorrow. - **Porteur :** responsable SOC, lead IR, responsables infrastructure. - **Cadence :** continue. - **Livrable :** actions techniques journalisées avec preuves (commandes, captures, hashs). ### Niveau 4 - Fonctions support - **Objectif :** logistique, bien-être, rotation de sommeil, repas, transport, hold juridique, communication RH. - **Porteur :** office manager / RH / juridique. - **Cadence :** continue, souvent invisible, toujours essentielle.
